Heard a Jessie Jackson Rainbow Coalition radio program on a Sunday Morning in Los Angeles a few years backs and a caller was excited to tell Jessie and the show host why he felt the Black Community was feeling under served. The caller says, "We need to VOTE for Better People." To that I gave a big nod and waited for radio show response. Immediately the host and Jessie pushed back saying, No... we need to Organize. That is how we get what we want. Organize and we know how. The caller re-asserted his epiphany that VOTING was the solution. Well, the caller was muted and Jessie announced the latest Organized Activism Event occurring in Los Angeles.
All communities KNOW their VOTE is a path forward but "counter measures" are still very oppressive.
